Pippilotta Delicatessa Windowshade Mackrelmint Ephraim's Daughter Longstocking

We watched the movie Pippi Longstocking with our boys last night-I hadn't seen it for ages.  I think I had thought of it as a movie that would mostly inspire girls but I was so wrong.  My boys were completely taken with her as was I (all over again).  I feel like we all need more Spirit of Pippi around here.  Another thing I learned from watching this movie:  Little boys look amazing in clogs.

That reminds me, I need to watch this movie too! I loved the books growing up.

Yay! I love Pippi! I used to bribe my nephew into doing homework by offering to read him a Pippi story or two AFTER he got his homework done...bribery is ok if you are the aunt, not the mother... It is completely impossible for me to watch the movie though, because I will have the "Pippi Longstocking is coming into your town" song stuck in my head for months! ...Oh fiddlesticks, there it is, permenently repeating in my brain...Curse you, Pippalotta, CURSE YOU!
